Mrs Anna Skoog was born as Anna Bernhardina Karlsdotter in Kinne-Vedum, Skaraborg, Sweden on 13 November 1866.¹

She was the daughter of Karl Eriksson (born 3 April 1828 at Undenäs) and Maria Greta Andersdotter (born 2 December 1828 at Bellefors).

Her parents had married 22 August 1858.

She had three sisters: Hedda Sofia, b. 3 December 1858, Eva Charlotta, b. 5 November 1869, and Kristina Elisabet (born 15 July 1873), and three brothers: Hugo Gilbert (15 December 1862, died 24 November 1869), Erik Gustaf (b.

15 November 1864 died 5 November 1869) and Carl Ludvig (born 31 October 1860, and still alive as of 1880, when he was working as a farm hand in his native Vedum parish).

Anna's mother passed away 31 March 1886.

In 1890 she lived in Kårtorp, Kinne Vedum's parish, Skaraborg's County, with her widowed father and her sister Kristina. She had no particular occupation at the time.

She moved to Stockholm 13 June 1891 and first lived at Vasaga
